UNIQUE KENYAH'S BEAUTY
Like many other tribes in the world, Kenyah people have their own unique definition of beauty. Long ears, black shiny teeth, very thin eyebrows are unique definition of beauty for kenyah tribe long time ago. These do not only apply for women but for men as well. As time passes, and the modern world pushes into the lifestyle the trend seems to slowly disappear. Now there are only a few left with these kenyah beauty features.

The process of elongating her ears were done when she was little, when she was strong enough to handle the pain and able to take care of her ears throughout the process. It was definitely a long and painful process. But at her time, no was not an option and it was solely for the sake of beauty and everyone did it anyway.
It's so true when people say beauty is subjective and it's in the eye of the beholder. For Kenyah Badeng long time ago, if you have long ears, black teeth and also very thin eyebrows, then you are beautiful. These may sound weird to others but they're what make you beautiful for kenyah people at that time. These black and white pictures are also some evidences. They do look charming don't they?

But soon after, mom cut off her long ears.
Yea...coz nowadays we mix with outside world.. So to others its weird.
